Good luck! Getting very hard to find even stock triple parts.

Jeff (I run two stock triples)

Re: Teleflex Steering Rack

Mine seized when I stupidly forgot to grease the cable where it goes thru that tube. The inner spiral was stretched as I doubled down on stupid by forcing the wheel, wrecking it. After replacing it with a new one, I was surprised to see that the old one has ALWAYS been stretched a few inches (as sho...

I have one that looked like that after smacking a bunch of rocks. Knocked one blade right out of the hub.

Re: Sterndrive Gear Oil

A good trick, to see if water is getting in there, is to let it sit overnight with the lower drain plug at its lowest position. The next morning (a day or so later is even better) remove the lower plug and see what comes out FIRST: If it's oil. you're all set; if it's water, then it's time for new s...

Re: The importance of keeping a lookout..

Or how about this one? The captain lost his ticket over this: left the boat on auto pilot and went below to use the head!

You've probably seen this photo. The boat's name says it all.

Re: Speedboat accident

Too bad. A couple of fishermen just bought it here on the Chesapeake Bay--slammed into a buoy at high speed.

Re: Project Chrysler

Nasty seizure there. Nasty! Jeff PS: Guy up the road from me has TWO 150 hp Chryslers with racing lower units and megaphones. They're just sitting there, not being used. (He's not a boater.) Has a third 150 hp in his office, a factory display model that's cutaway. Guy collects neat Chrysler stuff, s...
