Hi, can anyone help me ID my new motor please? I have tried Googling various sites but none of them appear to deal with the Belgian motors.
The model number is 358B63R and the serial number is B5127. Any assistance gratefully appreciated! Martin.

Hotwiring an Evinrude fstwin
I've got an Evinrude fastwin 18hp motor that is electric start, but I don't have the associated electrical plug to make it work. The male part of the plug on the outboard has five prongs, with the two lower outer ones (of three) being the positive and negative to the batery. I can't see what the cen...

Shetland 535 door
Before I splash out on one from Shetland Boats in this post holiday money famine, has anyone got a spare cabin door for a Shetland 535 lying around? If so, please PM me.

This is what you want: http://www.fiddes.co.uk/product.php?name=klendoostripperoriginalformuladcm. The Fiddes factory is in Cardiff, not far from the boat club, so stock up. I've spent many a dull hour stripping paint off stuff with original formula, just don't get it on your skin, you will soon kno...

Going grey
Last week I bought a very sound Picton speedboat on a solid trailer, complete with a pair of skis, for the princely sum of eighty two quid! I'm unlikely to finish my Dainty Miss in time for Cardiff, so it is my £82 plan B. Anyway, the Picton is blue, but the gelcoat has started to go a hazy grey col...

Evinrude identification
No doubt this has been asked before, but here goes again anyway. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good site to decode the model number and serial number on a 50s/60s Evinrude outboard? there seems to be lots for newer outboards but I haven't found one for the sixties models and I need to or...

Period chrome fittings
Does anyone know of a supplier of new 'period' looking chrome deck fittings, either here or overseas? The period in question is the very late fifties. I'm also looking for somewhere to get the slotted rubber matting that goes in the middle of the chrome steps fitted to lots of boats in the fifties/s...

Re: 1966 Evinrude sold on EBay
Hi, I haven't attempted to get it going yet, due to a lack of space in my lockup at the moment, but it is in lovely condition, the only problem found so far being one of the two 'feet' on the back of the engine tray is broken, but that should be easy to sort out. All in good time!
