Re: Low freeboard fenders

I’ve used these and they do the job!
I know there are some “dumpy” genders on the market which would also do the job, I’ve seen then on slipper launches but I can’t find them anywhere.

Re: Glue used on Tremlett and Stapley Hulls

Years ago I used “Cascamite”, you can still buy it as “Resintite”. It’s certainly mixed with water and yes it is brittle. That said, a properly made joint will be very strong, exceeding that of the wood. However, again years ago, I discovered that it is NOT waterproof, that is you should not use if ...

Re: Coventry Victor MW2

Hi Keith, It’s a shame that you are not getting answers and or help from the forum but it’s not surprising as you rarely see responses. I don’t know about your engine specifically but the fact that one plug is sooty and the other is clean needs investigation. Perhaps you could swap the plugs to see ...

Re: Adhesive for Trackmark

Thanks for the various inputs.
By well abraded I just meant to take the shine off the aluminium panel to give some key. 80/120 with the random orbital sander.

Adhesive for Trackmark

I've found enough Trackmark for the floor of A54. Question now is what to stick to with. You can buy specialised adhesives but very costly for much more than is needed. Bostick seems to be a cheaper option but they advise a special primer - still expensive. Any other suggestions or spare cans lying ...

Re: PROBLEM WITH FACEBOOK

Hi Mel, I guess you are using Safari? You could try resetting to clear out the history but be careful you could lose any passwords you have allowed Safari to remember. As an interim, load up Firefox and try that. If it works then Safari is your problem and a reset should fix it. Cheers, Malcolm, the...

Re: Paint removal

You could try Starchem Synstryp.
If you do please use good PPE in a well ventilated space and even an air helmet as it’s nasty stuff.
Brush on, wait until it softens the paint and scrape off.
Need to clean off any residues. Don’t get it on your skin as will will burn.
