Albatross Mk3 Fuel tank

The fuel sender is present but will need replacing. The fixing strap is there as well. Needs a clean inside as its stood empty for a while....

Electric Polisher
Free to good home - collection from Crowthorne or postage at cost
Rotary polisher - could do with a new lambswool head or covering in a suitable cloth.
240 volts, works ok, tried it this morning.
More pics available - pm me if you would like to see them.

Re: Albatross overheating
Did you check for an air lock in the rear cross tube?
If there is air in there the water may not flow properly through the heat exchangers.

Re: Albatross overheating
From what you say the Rev counter is electronic, correct?
So could be ignition/coil.
Also if the ignition timing is retarded it will run hot.
If you pm me with your email I can send you a link where you can download a full ford manual for the engine which tells you how to set the timing.

Re: Albatross overheating
Ok some questions, what was the temperature gauge showing? Four up on a hot day..... flat out...? If the temp was normal then as it was a very hot day I’d suspect either a fuel/vapour lock, ie the carb was too hot and or a lock in the fuel hose. Alternatively ignition, could be the coil overheating ...

Buoyancy jackets, set of four looking for a good home
I have four buoyancy jackets available, ok quality, almost unused. Two adult (xl) 50N and two smaller which would fit teenagers. Offering free to CMBA members first before going onto sales sites. Collection only from Crowthorne Berks. Images here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2j3v9emwq2nr3qf/AACmrJotA...
