I have just acquired a Super Single which has the serial number SS 47 O(or 0) 41 - can anyone help with a date for it? It has a red fuel cap if that helps....?

Boat identity
I came across some drawings (c mid 1950s) from a commercial boatbuilder, does anyone know if it was ever built or commercially available? The engine arrangement is quite different from the marinised car engines previously used on other models. The boat itself would be 14'6" with a beam of around 5'6".

Does anyone recognise this engine?
I was fortunate to discover some drawings today which date from the mid 1950's. I am unsure if the boat was ever built (it is a drawing from a commercial boatbuilder of the time), but I am intrigued if anyone can identify the powerplant that was proposed/used, from the drawing?

Progress has continued with the bottom of the boat replaced together with some mahogany cross members. Old paintwork has been stripped inside and out and voluminous quantities of lacquer/varnish have been applied to the 'wood bits'. The hull was covered with a couple of layers of glass fibre mat and...

They did indeed! It's useful to see how the hull developed from the GP14 boat. I will be in touch as another r F&W project appears to be looming!!
