A weekend by invitation of the Soar Boating Club. Gentle river cruising with plenty of eating, drinking and socialising.

The River Soar is a major tributary of the River Trent in the English East Midlands and is the principal river of Leicestershire. The source of the river is midway between Hinckley and Lutterworth. The river then flows north through Leicester, where it is joined by the Grand Union Canal.

It is hoped that with progress against the pandemic we will be able to enjoy some of our events in 2021, however this event and its date is not yet confirmed.

Event Classification

MODERATE - An event on river or lake where strong currents may be experienced and substantial waves when windy are to be expected. In the event of a breakdown you will drift ashore but damage could be expected in adverse conditions. A step up from novice when confidence in one’s ability & boat reliability has been proven to oneself. Still suitable for family enjoyment.
