Hi all..... :D its me again :D :)


what size & thread is the "Fill screw" on the gear box of the above, been thro my manuals and cant see a size, :?

i am trying to get a "gear oil pump" fitting to make it easy for changing the gear oil BUT the ones I am looking at, dont list my engine as one that will fit, and I also want it to suit my Yam 40hp 4stroke, I can get one that suits the Yam but I need to know the Merc screw size to get the correct adaptor, ( asking the guys in the shops over here is like :grrr: )

I think you will find this is what you need T15, it was I use on my Mercs & I think it will do that strange Japanese thing that you mentioned that is the wrong colour! :shock: :lol: :lol:

Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!
