Hi Howard,

Checked my cable - too long for your needs :(

To ascertain the length you need take the following measurements:

A) From the centre line of the steering wheel out to the boats gunwale.
B) From this point on the gunwale directly aft to the transom.
C) From the gunwale at the transom to the centre line of the cable connection on the outboard. (with the outboard positioned to drive straight ahead)

If you are installing the steering cable to an outboard with electric or manual tilt that has a standard tilt tube mounting connector, add up measurements A, B and C, then add 15cm and then round UP to the nearest quarter of a metre. (ie. 4m, 4.25m, 4.5m, 4.75m etc)

You then need this cable length.

Sorry I can't be of more help - hope this gets you on the right track

Cheers,

R
