advice on dowty turbocraft please

Post by jetcrusader »

I'M JUST CONTEMPLATING GETTING BACK TO JETBOATING [used to own a Crusader with a ford 3ltr essex driving a PP jet pump], now considering the purchase of a rough Dowty, complete except for engine and seating. Any suggestions re engine replacement and original interiors will be VERY welcome. If the purchace goes ahead I WILL join CMBA!! Thanks, Stuart

Welcome, there's a very nice completely original MKII (?) in the club, with I think a later Hamilton Drive - the owner posts here from time - and a regular at rallies is a stern driven version, which despite the increased draft goes extremely well.
