Saturn steering

Post by mad millie »

Evening all
I have had my 9.9 Honda on the back of my broom Saturn for the season. We are looking to start attending days out with the cmba and do some lakes so a bigger engine was needed!
I recently bought a Yamaha 30hp of a fellow member(cheers simon) but when coming to fit it it's a long way off my excisting holes from the cable steering,is there any adaptors that can be put over the hole to make the teleflex cable fit or be more in line!
The engine does have the tube on it to accommodate the teleflex but miles away,I don't want to cut another hole in the splash well..... Help.
Looking forward to your suggestions
Jon...

I think you may need a splashwell mounting kit, but I'd need some pics to confirm. The Gemini, Saturn and Scorpio all suffer from the same design of splashwell which means a lack of clearance when steering is taken thru the tilt tube and the standard mounting kit comes out at the wrong angle for some motors.
