The paint below that line came off much more easily than the paint above so what does the line signify? Does it delineate the originally unpainted area (which I surmised was backwards from the joint at the front of the engine bay) or is it where a different colour (red?) was used? As you can see, it starts pretty far forward and looks like it's roughly where the water line is.
