Hi Glynn, you have two CMBA members in Christchurch with you, Scandal & Assegai are both in that area.

Its a later model two seater built between 1960 and 1967 and numbered between A1 and A105. Most had either a Ford 1500 engine or a Coventry Climax. The very last half dozen were fitted with the Ford 1500GT

I have over the years restored about a dozen albatross 8x2 seaters and now 4x4 Seaters so have quite a fair knowledge of what should go where so if you think I can be of any help please ask and I would gladly lend any assistance I can.Currently I am refurbishing A Continental with a Coventry Climax engine with all mechanics done by the previous owner and I have started a 2 seater Classic with a Vauxhall Viva 1275cc engine which has spent all its life in Poole.I have booklets and Owners manuals which may help with your rebuild. I have never had an A model but am familiar with the differences.Send me an email with your telephone number and we can have a chat if you wish.I am based at Ferndown Dorset so very close to you.
