I noticed on Andy's Tremlett 'Zulu' that he has what appears to be a plate on the transom which I assume is for attaching a removeable auxiliary bracket.

Would anyone be able to confirm this and let me know if these types are available anywhere, or if it was a one-off build?

Hi Guys
Sorry for being late with the reply, haven@t looked at the forum lately. Yes, re my outboard bracket it is a commercialy available bracket, it wasn't cheap about £70 I got it in a local chandlers here in Lymington. it will take up to a 5hp motor. When I use my boat at sea I always put a little 3.5 motor on, just in case. It pushes the Tremlett along just fine, certainly get you home. Touch wood not had to use it yet!! There is no makers name on it but I have seen them in other outlets. Hope this helps.

Yes, thats it except mine has a ply pad but same difference. Mine wasn't as expensive as the one shown, I will go into the chandlery where I brought it and see what they have.

I'd like one for Hum Bug...the thought of those tankers bearing down on me in So'ton Water, with a duff slinky Merc, is better than prunes.

I was able to get one from http://www.angleseymarinesupplies.com/a ... ackets.php for £109 + £10 P&P

This is what it looks like in place,I was thinking of painting it black but it looks ok as polished aluminium.
