Boat movements...

Post by Rapier »

Following the departure of my Broom Rapier to new home with Vince (new CMBA member) in June, I felt somewhat somewhat bereft and a having become a rivethead last year, I had decided to add to the fleet .

I have now joined a select bunch of members who own a boat passed on by our Chairman (J2 and Shameless Lady being the others).

For those that don't know it's history, DIXIE is a very original 1959 Lone Star Malibu.

And for once I don't feel any urge to restore or renovate - the plan is to power her with my Mercury 400E and there has been some discussion about possible twin 1960 35s...

that transom is perfect for twins...go for it, I could help with a pair of Perkins 35's, if you were short of an anchor you could throw one off the back as a mud weight
