dusky queen

hi all i have been on patrol on the thames over the bank holiday and today stopped a classic looking speedboat for a licence check the owner said the make was a dusky queen it looked very much like an outboard version of a moonfleet aquila anyone know anything about this make.

Late 50's maybe early 60's, about 16ft, flat bottomed, transom built wide enough for twins - moulded seats and polystyrene bouyancy. This pic was taken of the only other I knew of.

I don't think the one in the picture is a Moonfleet. I don't know everything about them, and I could be mistaken but from all the old details I've come accross this looks similar, but in a way a slightly more advanced design than the Aquila. I know there were early 1950's boats by Moonfleet but I think later models all shared the same dashboard layout which doesn't look like it would fit this one.
