I and my friend bought some similar ones 5 years or so ago, mine have a nice flat section where they go over the gunwale. They work really well. Came from Ireland courtesy of a posting by the chap with Tremlett over there. Something else to thank him for - RIP.

These are not the same as the ones dear Austin got for us, but I am sure they will do the job just the same & are just perfect for our boats.
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

The ones Austin got where American " Taylor made " brand, they are top quality but a little expensive, however, these one seem really cheap, even compared to ordinary fenders, would like to see them before I decided.

Apparently you can pick up bunches of them in Southampton water.

I've tried buying the Taylor Made ones direct from CH Marine and Taylor Made (Ireland) for almost two years and agree they are the best, but they have not been available - will give CH another chance and call them again ...........
