Bluebird K3 successful 2 days with CMBA support

As many of you may have seen on TV Sir Malcolm Campbell's first ever Bluebird boat - K3, was successfully run over the last 2 days at Bewl Water in Kent, the first trouble free (virtually) running since the post restoration trials began some 5 or 6 years ago.
The CMBA have been closely involved with the latter stages of the rebuild with 2 members designing & helping build the cooling system. All 4 trials (up to this week) have been run on the water under CMBA guidance/control. Other than the first test we have been granted permission to use our own boats as the boats provided initially were woefully slow & couldn't keep up with K3, raising safety concerns.
This Monday/Tuesday we had 4 members (3 on Tuesday) present with 2 boats, a Donzi sweet 16 & a Boesch 210 special & once again we were in control of the on water activities/safety. Other than an issue with the rudder which will need addressing (& didn't effect the running of K3) the 2 days were trouble free.
