Does anyone know if there is a definitive guide to the navigable waterways in the fens, to include the various rivers, cuts, levels and drains? I may be moving to the area and it would be nice to get some more use from the boat.

Emrhys Barrell's The Inland Waterways Manual is a good buy ..Was trying to find my copy, but it's buried somewhere. Emrhys is a CMBA member. Readers Digest did a book called EXPLORING BRITAIN RIVERS, LAKES AND CANALS which may be off interest too.

Bit late to the party but I'm new so that's my excuse - I just saw this but I posted a small piece about them on the venues section of the site. I don't know much about the mid levels just I think they go to the nene. Also I know it's illegal to navigate on them past dark and I don't even think there's any stretches over 4mph or any good pubs! I did investigate lifting mine for a day from the Ouse but decided against it
