Hello!
I'm looking to replace the aluminium prop on my 1968 Mercruiser 120 h.p. sterndrive.
I'm sure it's the "cooking" prop that I have on it at the moment - it's too corroded to get any numbers off it, so I'm after suggestions of where to go (on the internet) for the best advice (apart from on here!) / price. I'll happily go for a stainless one if it is deemed preferable.
Many thanks,
Ian.

Re: Which New Prop?
Can only suggest that you talk to someone who works with these 'early' Mercruisers - try Burseldon Outboards / Walker Ouboards perhaps..I seem to remember they never had really coarse pitch props on the Pisces / early drives, but it's so dependent on your load and spec'd rpm. Early props also had part numbers under the nut/thrustwasher. Might also be worhwhile PM-ing Healey75, he had an early Pisces..not sure what hp; possibly a later 140hp.
Fasten bra straps and remove dentures...
