As we are having a bit of good weather I decided to do the painting.
This is the look I went for.
I also made a little dash.
The finish isn't too bad so I don't think I'll go through the fine sanding and polishing as I will be using it just for a bit of messing about

Thats a 50 hp you can see in the background might be a bit much but you never know
I have been trying to convert this one to remote, not as easy as it looks but I'll sort something out

Nice one...very 50's Somewhere I still got the paper template I used to make the windscreen, it's about right, possibly should have been a bit taller. I'll do a table of offsets and email it if you need it. Took me quite a while to get the curve and angle to look right. I used some 2mm polycarbonate.

Yep...! this must be original screen height, mines a bit low, but I don't remember it being this high, but then it was about 55 years ago and I made mine by memory before I found these pics. There's also a few seconds footage on Pathe news where you can see the 'screen. On mine the black clip on trim around the cockpit went around the top of the screen as well none of the fancy chrome stuff you see on these, I guess we had the basic model as it was given away when the family bought a used 1954 MK1 Ford Zephyr in the the late 50's.

Re: Microplas microboat
Joe Poole of Ferguson Poole was able to supply me with an NOS kit for my '64 110, which I think is the same...worthwhile asking if he has the same for the 3.9.sean-nós wrote:I have been trying to convert this one to remote, not as easy as it looks but I'll sort something out
