1958 Merryfield with 1958 Mercury Mk 30 for sale

Post by twister »

Reluctantly for sale due to a new project which is taking up the space...

This pretty little boat was originally restored by Rapier and has been within the CMBA ever since.

I've carried out a lot of work on the trailer (but it still needs a repaint), reworked the seat mounts so the seats fit in better, and fitted & rigged the totally original and very rare 1958 Mercury Mk 30 with original period Mercury 2-lever controls.

The outfit was seen last at the 2011 River Soar meet, where it performed well and reliably. The boat handles nicely, the motor ran just fine over the 3 days of the meet, starting easily on the pullcord. There is a slight rattle from the motor, which has yet to be identified & sorted, but this had no effect on running or reliability; it remained the same throughout the weekend.

Price is £1300.

Any questions, let me know.

I would love the engine, it would look just great on my boat but would seem a shame to split them up but if anyone is intrested in the hull and trailer but not the engine let me know and maybe we could work something out between us, cheers, Simon

Very nice...saw a pic in the mag, but looks a super combination. Much better than than a Merc 200.
Fasten bra straps and remove dentures...
