Fairey Cinderella for sale

15ft outboard runabout, hull number 64, built circa 1961 in Fairey Marine’s unique hot moulded process from Agba mahogany veneers. Medium vee deadrise giving excellent sea-keeping abilities. Found in a very poor state in 2009 then extensively rebuilt 2010 by a former Fairey Marine boatbuilder (me!). Twin cockpit layout seating four comfortably, with additional aft storage locker. Colour pale blue, new white upholstery with blue piping, tinted Italian-style wrap-around screen with white rubber detailing. Cockpit tonneau cover.
Motor 1979 Merc 500 blue band 50hp electric start. Complete powerhead overhaul in 2012; new main crankshaft bearings, big and little end roller bearings, piston rings. New 15” 3 blade prop. Rebuilt starter motor, new carb kits 2014, and new water pump impeller 2015. Starts and runs well, comfortably cruises 20 knots at 4000 rpm, WOT 5500 rpm approx. 27 knots. Twin moulded 12 litre carry tanks, 12v battery.
Custom fitted and bunked single axle galvanised Extreme trailer, lighting board, spare wheel, docking poles, large pneumatic jockey wheel, winch with nylon strap.
Other bits: Teleflex single cable steering, Attwood wheel, single lever MerControl, electric choke, kill switch, tachometer. (The tacho is a period correct 1958 American SUN Tachometer, expertly rebuilt with modern solid state components to match the Mercury’s electronic ignition.)
Fenders, warps, anchor & line, paddles.
All this, ready to run, for £5,750 ono.
