Hello, ran it today. It has new electronic ignition, new HT leads, a different coil, a new distributor cap, new rotor arm... And guess what, it ran beautifully right up until it stopped.... and kept stopping, same as before, except this time it didn’t wait until the engine was warm. I am out of idea...

Maybe customs became suspicious on the basis that they couldn’t see why anyone would go to the trouble and expense of importing two old Non-running outboard motors...

Thanks. Done the condenser and points this afternoon and will test tomorrow. I have had a look at the wiring and nothing appears significantly amiss.
