Me and the engine are in different places at the moment, so can’t get that right now.. I was just trying to source some whilst I had the time.
My recollection is the ones in there have quite a long number. BH at the front of the number? They have a single centre electrode.

1975 20hp Mercury Blueband - correct plug type please - updated with serial number now
Can anybody tell me the correct plug specification for my 1975 20hp Mercury Blueband or what is now considered a suitable replacement please?
I don’t have my manuals to hand so sadly can’t do the proper check.

Mercury Blueband 20hp
Wanted - it’s a long shot: Starter motor and flywheel/starter gear to convert to electric start motor. Please PM or respond here if you know where I might source these or if you have them for sale. Pulling a cord on a 20hp engine with great compression is getting more difficult with a dodgy old shou...

Re: Rebuild Started - Wooden Runabout - now finished Jan 2021
At last I’ve managed to load a couple of shots of my finished boat! I may try to post more here when I can edit the shots. :woo: It’s been a long time coming - over 8 years - but I’ve finally managed to get the boat finished and ready for the water! Just waiting for lockdown to be released and it’s ...

Re: Mercontrol for 1970’s 35hp and above - will fit all 2, 3 and 4 cylinder till '89
Oh heck Nick! I was sure you told me it was 30hp. It’s so long ago I had forgotten your advice! Yes it’s 35hp. The boat must have been a little beast with that in the back in the 1970’s. Seemingly on the sea in North Wales as advised by the son of the previous owner. He said it scared him witless, a...

No it’s definitely 35hp... I have a 20hp on the boat. That’s why it’s now for sale. As you probably know the 35hp operates the gears in the opposite direction to the 20hp. Only pulling them apart can revel which is which. I had to buy a 20hp to find out! I’d just like it to go to somebody who can ma...

Re: Rebuild Started - Wooden Runabout
Thanks for the response. Ah!... my typo it should have read 350kb - less than 1/2 Mb. The other two were 554kb & 1.1 Mb
Before I spend more time, what is the limit I’m trying to achieve please?

Probably a rare item now. Doesn’t fit my boat. Works well, but needs cosmetic restoration. I want it off the shelf! £20 or make me an offer. Photos sent on request if you contact or PM me. I can’t get the photos to load on here. If you know of other models it will fit, please post or. Let me know. T...

Re: Rebuild Started - Wooden Runabout
I have now finally finished this long running restoration and the boat is ready for the water, as soon as we are allowed out! Sadly I find trying to load photos of the finished boat onto this site is probably more difficult than putting up a virus into an international deference system! I’ve spent a...
