Just want to close the topic.. I did manage to sort out this problem, My drum has a simple Slot/hole in the middle and when i threaded a loop of the cable thru there was another tiny hole which needed a screw put into it so that the loop could loop round! it all works great now and apreciate all the...

I am currently working underneath my boat..it has had several coats of paint put on it...not to a good a standard,and while ppreparing it to take on a decent finish..i have been sanding variouse different areas to make smooth and have found that the filler used over some of the screws has deteriated...

Thats a great idea..and one that has been tested ??? or not? i do not have a thermostat fitted so i guess a slight restriction would work...

At last a reply ! cheers...
I have water in and water out.. no aditional tanks etc... just in and out....i had a good run Saturday pm and the guage rose slightly...as nothing has been changed...i guess its normal for a fenn and wood... 100e...cheers anyway...Mel.

Having fitted a new alternator which charges my battery,,i find that when i am poodling about on a river just above tickover i find the amp meter is reading a tad low....it certainly rises if i give her a blat..however in some situations this is not possible....so how do i increase the output...do i...
