Hi' - It largely depends where you use it, how you use it and what condition it is in. Most boats, wooden or otherwise, used in sheltered waters (lakes and rivers) normally don't need additional bouyancy. The "rag 'n stick" brigade generally will have additional bouyancy tubes but then they do have ...

I was planning to write it up for the magazine having managed to get hold of some photos of the auction. One rare inboard version, a single cockpit Larson Falls Flyer sold for $49,000 and that carried an additional 20% buyer's premium . . . . !

Did anyone else follow the Mikkleson Collection Auction 18-20 May; it was sad to see someone's lifetime obession go under the hammer but it was also fsascinating to see what he accumulated over the year...
