Yes it's a great picture and I assume a playground play thing. The boat has many details which are the same as mine and is the nearest I have ever seen to one of the same design which is why I was hoping someone might know the make/designer/plans. Finger crossed.

Taken in Suffolk in about 1982, i have no other details but would love to put a maker or designer to it. it could be a Percy Blanchford but i dont think so, over to the experts.
