hi , anyone interested in a Merc 115 , 6 cylinder with good compression and spark, NOW the downside, there is a crack in the gearbox, it can be welded, so open to offers, either send an email or PM me

well, finished the rebuild, and have now run several hours on the stand, below is the last video taken on saturday 28th December, the final run before starting to fit in the rib. You will see that the exhaust is clear, but every now and then white smoke ( steam actually ) this was a cause of concern...

Beautiful engines, had several of them over the years, what ever you do, DO NOT BREAK it for spares, sell me it as a whole unit if you don't want it, I currently have the electrolux penta version sitting in the shed waiting for a overhaul / restore, also i had the crescent tornado version, see this ...

hi, well quick update, the marine shaft is no longer available, so unless i can locate a second hand one, then looks like fitting a car version which are still available, i have spoke to a few suppliers and a "D" cam is very close to the marine spec one, and a "K" cam is the one they used when they ...

Volvo Penta AQ 130 camshaft
as in the title, anyone got a AQ130 camshaft, just rebuilt the engine following purchase of bits from a fellow CMBA member, it ran sweet for 30 - 40 minutes and then the cam shaft snapped where the cam sits on it,

hi Alacrity,
as ever with any engine i buy, its always a full strip and rebuild then run it, i prefer to know that the engine is as new before i put to sea, bit daft to my mind to just check carbs, change box oil and then use, lives depend on these things.
