Delta 1600 x-flow for Sale

Hi guys due to the purchase of a bigger family boat it is now time to say bye to the Delta. She is a fibreglass boat (think around 1972) in good condition. I bought her as a non runner needing lots of TLC about 5 years ago and have renovated to what she is now. Starts on the button with good compres...

Re: Delta Back on the Water

Hi guys thanks for the replies.

Was a good day yesterday. I'd forgotten how much fun they are, had Delta 20 years ago so been a while.

She's got a 1600 xflow, a few issues still to sort out with the engine but all in all a happy man!.

Delta Back on the Water

Two years after buying her as a project my Delta finally got her feet wet again. All in all a successful trip, couple of teething problems to sort out but managed a good run on Loch Lomond up a few miles and back under her own steam. I'll post some photos of the 'journey' back to the water but in th...

Wiring Alternator in Delta with Ford Crossflow

Hi Hoping someone can help. I'm down to the last job or two with my Delta and have realised my alternator either isn't charging or I had it connected up incorrectly. When I got the boat the engine was in bits so I don't have anything to go on other than the markings on the Alternator. It's a Prestol...

Re: Delta Help

Hi Oliver

Managed to find some photographs of my Delta before I painted it that show how mine is jointed.

Hope they help you.

Cheers

Re: Delta Help

Hi Oliver I'm just finishing off restoring my fibreglass Delta. Unfortunately, as you suspect, yours seems to have had some extra pieces added. The timber isn't on mine and wasn't on one I had 20 years or so ago. Think someone has split the hull and inserted previously. If you want a photo of mine l...

Re: New Rubbing Strip for Delta

Thanks for the reply, had a look at their website seem to have a big selection.

Did you fit the new strip yourself? If you did how did you form around tight bends and corners, does heating the strip help.

Cheers

New Rubbing Strip for Delta

Hi I am at long last making some steady progress towards getting my Delta back in the water. Hoping to try rolling and tipping topcoats at the weekend, have new deck hardware ordered and pretty much there mechanically. One problem I've got is both getting hold of and securing a new rubbing strip for...

Re: Delta Stern Gland

Hi Ed

Attached are a couple of photos which I hope help.

As to leaking not sure I've not had her in the water yet. Had one years ago and I think it dripped a little even when full of grease, couldn't be 100% sure though.

Cheers
